Kids Pottery Camp (Beginner Friendly)
This is a 3-session beginner friendly pottery class for kids 5-10 years old. Each session is 1.5 hours where they will be able to use their creativity to plan, design and create their ideas.
Session 1: Hand Sculpting with Clay - Making a cup
Session 2: Introduction to Wheel Throwing - Making a plate
Session 3: Ceramic Painting
For the first session, they'll learn the pottery basics and be able to plan and draw the forms they want to make in the next sessions.
Hand building is a technique that allows them to create forms with clay and their hands, without using a wheel. Think of it as sculpting. Using only hands and tools provided to make their own cups.
Wheel throwing is a technique of shaping ceramics using a potter's wheel.
On the last session, they will be able to paint the pieces they made throughout the whole workshop.
Price is per person and is inclusive of the 3 sessions.

- 1 kg white stoneware clay each person for Sessions 1 & 2

FAQ:
Are adult companions allowed to join the class?
Only the students will be allowed inside the studio as we have limited space and other classes happening at the same time. Rest assured, your kids will be well taken care of by our teachers :)
What can they expect to make?
At the end of this course, they'll be able to make a total of 2-3 pieces consisting a cup, plate and small trinkets.
Are we allowed to reschedule?
We only have fixed schedules for this workshop so rescheduling is not allowed.
Can they bring their final outcomes home?
We will need to fire their pieces first before they are able to use them, the firing process will involve multiple stages like drying, and firing it twice which can take around 8-10 weeks. We will inform you when their works are ready for pick up.
Can they bring food or drinks?
Yes, snacks will be provided but they can bring their own food or drinks. You can even order from the dozens of restaurants around the Cubao Expo compound, and it will be delivered to them during their pottery session. Please give us a heads up so the teacher is informed :)
Can they bring pets?
Yes of course. Our founder (Ashe) is actually a gray tabby cat. We love pets! Please bring your pets :) We also assume that you will be responsible for them and will not disrupt any other ongoing classes in the other classrooms.
If we miss the class, can we refund?
We do not do refunds. Please note that we are a small business and we have allotted time, space and an instructor for your company and convenience.
Can we give a downpayment to reserve?
We require full payment upon reservation as we need to say no to others who would like your slots. We accept BPI, BDO, Gcash. We hope you understand <3
